Integrated Systems Europe 2025 (ISE 2025) was a resounding success for our Visionect team, with significant visitor engagement and a warm reception from leaders and innovators across the AV industry. 

With over 85,000 attendees, ISE Barcelona 2025 was the perfect stage to showcase our latest advancements in digital signage, low-power displays, and e-paper technology — cementing our position as a leader in energy-efficient digital signage solutions. 

Design and Innovation Recognition 

ISE 2025 exceeded expectations, attracting a record-breaking number of visitors — 15% more than the previous year. Among the ISE conference highlights was the overwhelming appreciation for the design of Visionect Place & Play displays.

Our e-paper digital signage solutions, already recipients of the Red Dot Award, were frequently compared to luxury brands like Ferrari, winning praise from architects and designers for their sleek and elegant form factor.

Industry Leadership and E-Paper Expertise 

Visionect’s expertise in electronic paper displays was further solidified at ISE 2025, as we participated in the Invidis e-paper panel, where Magdalena Bogatinovska, our Sales and Marketing Project Manager, shared key insights on the Invidis. 

The panel explored major digital signage trends 2025, including: 

• The future of e-paper displays and the role of large E Ink displays in digital wayfinding and public information displays
• The challenges of color e-ink technology and expected e-paper display advancements by Q4 2025

Magdalena also addressed a key industry question: Can e-paper replace LCDs and tablets for digital signage displays? With solutions like Joan workplace experience platform, Visionect is already leading the way in monochrome e-paper signage, providing low-power, customizable, real-time updates with battery life lasting several months to a year — the longest battery life of other e-paper solutions on the market.

Strong Engagement and Demonstrations 

Our booth was a hub of activity, with hundreds of attendees experiencing live demonstrations of our Visionect content management system (CMS) and Place & Play solutions. These hands-on demos often led to “Aha!” moments, as visitors witnessed the benefits of low-power digital signage, electronic ink displays, and digital smart labels in action.

ISE 2025 reinforced four key industries where Visionect’s energy-efficient digital signage is making an impact:

E-Paper Market and Future Developments 

The future of electronic paper display technology is evolving rapidly. E Ink Corporation’s CTO, Ian French, announced major e-paper advancements at ISE 2025, including: 

• Lower costs. E-paper is expected to lower to 1.5X-2X the price of LCD, making adoption more widespread
• Color enhancements. Improved color E Ink paper displays could broaden the scope of digital signage applications
• Video support. Although limited to 15 frames per second, this feature signals continued innovation in low-power display technology

While color e-paper opens up new possibilities, Visionect remains committed to grayscale e-paper displays to maintain the exceptional battery life that sets our products apart, making our digital signage displays versatile, scalable, and maintenance-free — ideal for public information displays, workplace signage, and interactive digital signage applications.

Furthermore, e-paper displays will continue to face significant video limitations, with refresh rates reaching only 10 frames per second at best. When combined with color E Ink technology, the high energy consumption makes video support impractical for most applications.

Despite these hurdles, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible is how amazing breakthroughs happen, and each step forward brings us closer to tapping into the full potential of e-paper technology.

Digital Signage as a Service (DaaS) and AI-Driven Solutions 

A standout AV industry trend in 2025 was the growing adoption of Digital Signage as a Service (DaaS). Solutions like Cielo Smartsigns, built on Samsung VXT, are paving the way for AI-powered, cloud-based digital signage platforms.
