ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for information security management systems (ISMS).

Think of this standard as a blueprint for designing top-notch security for an organization. When a company is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, it means they’ve established a solid system for managing and protecting sensitive information. This system includes having clear policies, regularly assessing risks, and implementing security controls, giving stakeholders confidence that risks are managed effectively.

The ISO/IEC 27001 Certification Process

The process for our certification took a year, during which our team reviewed Visionect’s information security practices and organizational policies.

“Over 100 controls were implemented to make sure our processes were rock-solid”, said Luka Napotnik, VP of Engineering at Visionect. Two audits, including a hands-on review by an ISO representative at our offices, confirmed we were following the protocols correctly.

“[Our] practices were already well-aligned with ISO standards, but we wanted official proof that safety is our highest priority,” said Luka Birsa, the co-founder and CTO at Visionect. “Now, with the ISO27001 certificate in our hands, we can confidently prove to our customers that we truly do what we say. It confirms that we’re a trustworthy and reliable company when it comes to securing your data.”
