ISE 2024: Breaking Records and Strengthening Connections with Customers and Partners
Visionect, 19 Feb 2024
Our team has returned from another record-breaking ISE, having had an incredible experience meeting new innovators across various industries, catching up with our partners and customers, and exploring opportunities to expand the application of ePaper technologies across a wide range of use cases.
Now, it’s time to reflect on and recap our week in sunny Barcelona.
From Oscar-winning directors to smart building and AI: ISE 2024 was everything and more
From Oscar-winning directors to smart building and AI, ISE 2024 surpassed all expectations, marking the largest event to date. This achievement was evident not only in statistics but also in the quality of keynotes and side events throughout the week.
Despite initial concerns about its relocation to Barcelona and the potential impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on future exhibitions, the ISE 2024 convention exceeded expectations. Over its four-day duration, it registered 172,627 visits, with 95,396 individuals signing up to participate. The event saw its busiest day on Wednesday, with a record 51,617 visitors, highlighting the enduring value of face-to-face interactions and firsthand technology experiences.
Attendees had the opportunity to appreciate the significance of AV technologies and the staggering scale of innovations. In the ISE Opening Keynote, Oscar-winning director and producer Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy underscored the transformative and enhancing role of audiovisual technologies in storytelling. Moreover, smart buildings and homes are witnessing substantial growth, with CEDIA’s analysis predicting the US market to reach a value of $29 billion and the UK market to approach $2.9 billion.
These figures bolster our confidence in the smart home use cases adopted by some of our most dedicated customers, ranging from weather stations to fresh newspapers and smart, AI-generated art.
Making black and white beautiful since 2007
Since 2007, we have been pioneers in innovative technology and regular participants at ISE. Each year, we showcase our latest advancements at our booth, and this year was no exception.
The highlight of our recent releases is our proprietary CMS technology, designed specifically for ePaper devices. It seamlessly integrates with Place & Play displays, simplifying the management of ePaper content.
Our booth visitors expressed their appreciation for finally having an ideal CMS that can complement our displays or function as standalone software. Through several demos, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the content scheduling options, the ability to create personalized playlists, and the complete control over the devices provided. While we strongly recommend our CMS for the best user experience, our Place & Play displays remain CMS agnostic, empowering users to bring their software of choice.
However, the CMS was not the only highlight. Our range of sustainable products also captivated the more energy-conscious attendees. Our groundbreaking technology and ePaper display make our devices incredibly efficient, capable of running for several months on a single charge. Their battery-powered nature is ideally suited to various mounting options, with our magnetic mounts receiving particular praise.
Coupled with energy efficiency and an intuitive CMS, our displays’ minimalist, high-end design has turned more than a few heads. Dave Haynes from Sixteen: praised it, saying, “You make black and white look beautiful.”
With that, we eagerly anticipate introducing more beautiful, sustainable, and innovative products at ISE 2025. We can’t wait to see you there!
